Soils & Soil Blends
The correct soil for the required application is necessary to achieve the
best results. The list below is a sample of the types of blends we can mix.
Should you have a special requirement please consult us for the best product
for your desired usage.
None of our soil blends contains Hardwood Sawdust which causes Nitrogen Draw
down and all are in the pH range of 6-7. All provide good Air Fill Porosity
for optimum growth of your valuable plant stock.
Topsoil
Medium screened material useful for soil packing for slopes and wash away situations. This product is very versatile in garden blends and topdressing as well as under turf.
TIP- grab a bag of Katek fertilizer pellets and toss over the mix for under turf. Just roll out the turf, water, use a turf roller to make it even and bingo, you've fed your turf and no smell – it's underneath where the roots can get it straight away.
Premium Organic Garden Mix
This rich mix is made of soil conditioner (compost), sand and composted cow manure. It is useful for any garden project and is balanced at pH 6 -7. Try this and watch your plants jump out of the ground and reward you with lush growth. Great for planting trees, general garden use and veggies. For jobs requiring a heavier mix, or more water retention we can include a topsoil component in this mix to suit your needs
Organic Native Mix
A mix of and Rich Earth Compost, Screened Topsoil and Washed River Sand to ensure that the Native plants which are sensitive to Phosphorous or over fertilising will not suffer while the free draining aspect of this mix allows speedy root development.
